Free Hugs

Three years ago I traveled to Montreal. In the corner of a crowded street I saw a man with a big card board which was written on that "Free Hugs". At first I wondered, and it seemed funny .Many people came to him, and he hugged them for minutes. He believed that people sometimes feel lonely and need someone to hug them a warm hug. The hug showed sense of kindness and selfless, and he performed just to make others feel better. I became carious to know more about that. I found in his website, Free Hugs campaign which offer hugs to strangers in the public places. This idea was started by an Australian man, Juan Mann. When he came back to his hometown, he had been depressed and felt lonely. In his opinion:
"Knowing that a simple act of human kindness can mean So much to someone in a time of need inspires me to keepOffering free hugs". (Juan Mann)
He believed sometimes a hug is all what we need. Free Hugs campaign became famous internationally in 2006, and international Free Hugs Day is celebrated on the first Saturday of July.

What do you believe about the life? There are many ideas about human’s life, and most of them are based on different religions. Reincarnation is an idea from eastern religious traditions such as Hinduism, Buddhism and so on. They believe the soul or spirit after death of the body comes back to Earth in another body. This cycle of death and birth will continue until the soul become mature and free. This liberation lets the soul to go back to its origin. Incarnation idea comes from ancient but during recent decades many people in west have believed this idea. Due to this idea any individual’s behavior shows their level of soul development.I like this idea if you like too, and you want to know about your past life put your date of birth in the following site and see what did you do in your last life and why you are here again, just for fun. http://www.thebigview.com/pastlife/

The Enfluence of Toys on Children

Toys and play have a significant role in children’s life, and they are inseparable. Children start to play at very early age, and they grow up with play. Playing with toys, give them an opportunity to learn about the world around them. Toys and the ways they are used can help children develop their skills and abilities, learn about cause and effect and identify their roles in their future life as adults. Simple toys such as blocks, dough and ball are a good choice for toddlers. This kind of toys, improve kids creativities and help their bodies grow stronger. In addition, some toys like doll and grocery store toys develop their imaginations. When they play with these kinds of toys, they practice their future characters and shape their personalities as well. While children get older, they need to play in group in order to learn to co-operate with others. Indeed, toys and play have an educational influence in children’s life. Therefore, children should have a certain amount of time to play with toys which help them to get mature.
I am as a mother can say that how children personalities can grow up by play. I have two girls, and I have exposed them to all variety of toys. I believe they should choose and explore the toys in order to find what they like more. I have a three years old girl who likes to play with dolls and kitchen toys. It is completely related to her age because in this time she needs to develop her imagination. When she cuddles her doll and talk with it, she imagines it is her real baby and sees herself as a real mom. Such simple play teaches her how to be a responsible person in future. She plays with a car and boy toys just for a short time; however, she can play with her dolls for a long time. It seems that, however, environment has an educational influence on children; you cannot ignore the nature’s effect. The best thing is that we guide them to use the right thing in the right time in order to accomplish the best result.

Spring Break

The schools spring break has started, and kids have two weeks holiday from this weekend. It sound great for children, but it is a nightmare for busy parents. They like to go out and have a fun every day. No, let correct my words every moment. When they ask you for something, they don’t like to hear that” I am busy honey, may be next time”. Sometimes I wish a day becomes 48 hours instead of 24. Then perhaps I find enough time to spend sometime with my kids and do all my homework!

Education in Iran Vs Canada

Education has significant influence on human developments, and people who developed their knowledge and skills have a great rule in their societies. The base of education system in Iran and Canada is same; however, each country has its own methods which make them different in many ways. In Canada education system in each province is different. The school system is under control of each separated provincial government. For example, in some province they have a middle school or one extra year after year 12 as preparation course for entering to university, but others do not have. Schools are free and universal. They are also available in both English and French languages. Most people use public schools instead of privates. They have co-ed system at all level of educations. The teaching methods focus on improving students’ social skills and knowledge; instead, they teach them a lot of theoretical subjects. There is no national entrance exam for entering to the university.
On the other hand, in Iran school systems have controlled by federal ministry of education. Thus, all schools in different provinces have a same curriculums and rules. All levels of educations are free; also private schools and universities are permitted to charge tuition fees. Unlike Canada, nowadays, in Iran, most people use private schools instead of public one. By this way, they have a more chance to entering to the universities. In addition, all school from different stages of education are single-sex except universities. Whereas in Canada schools are available in both English and French, in Iran those are only in Farsi and they learn English as a second language. Furthermore, in Iran teaching methods are very formal. The students have to listen to the teacher and memorize a lot of information. They have a lot of daily homework and many difficult national exams. However, entry to the university in Canada is not very difficult in Iran going to the university is very competitive. They have to pass difficult national entrance examination (Konkur). The students’ major entirely depend on their scores in that exam. In other words, differences in education methods lead to have students with different abilities, but the important point is which method is more helpful for students to achieve their goals and help their societies.
